Abstract

God create man as a whole unified and support each other. When one suffers, all the unified will also suffer. Live in solidarity means to live in unity with each other and commit to responsible for the common welfare. This study aims to explore Corporate Social Responsibility in the perspective of social solidarity. This study was conducted at PT. Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk Manado branch. This research uses qualitative method with social solidarity principle of the Social Doctrine of the Catholic church as a tool of analysis. In the perspective of social solidarity, solidarity becomes the value which underlying Corporate Social Responsibility. Corporate Social Responsibility is an obligation for the company to prosper its stakeholders through charitable activities, give charity or philanthropy. Companies stakeholders’ also include those who are suffering, helpless because of her inability, as well as those who have the misfortune (The Poor and Vulnerable). Annual Report becomes a means of companies communication with stakeholders by bringing the values of solidarity.
