Abstract

The arrival of tourists exceeds the capacity of people in a tourist attraction such as in Bunaken National Park that is call Mass Tourism or overloaded, which causes opportunities for degradation, even destruction of the physical, economic or environmental, cultural and linguistic environment. The arrival of tourist to the Bunaken National Park since the last 5 years has increased rapidly, this has result in the destruction of the physical environment, in activities, diving snorkeling tour for tourist, breaking coral, even the behavior of the local community has changed, including those who used to work as farmers, fishermen are now turning into boatmen, dive instructors, guides, restaurant waiters, and other tourism industries, who used to talk to other communities in local languages, but now they are more likely to communicate with tourist, who come from various countries that dominate their conversations in communicating. This Environmental Influence causes language destruction, so that if it’s left slowly the Local Language which is the local wisdom of the local community will experience extinction. Changes in reciprocity between environment and language are eco linguistic studies, language, and inherited in the younger generation. With the presence of language, foreign languages dominate the surrounding environment. Research entitled Eco linguistic Study of Existing Local Language with the name of exotic biota at the point of diving Tourism in the Bunaken Marine Park is carry out to inventory various exotic biota, according to tourist perceptions at the dive point, as well as exploring the Local Language of the exotic biota as far as the community knows. The method used is descriptive qualitative method. Running a questionnaire to tourists to find out tourist perceptions about exotic biota, and from these results a questionnaire was made with target the Bunaken community to find out how far the Local Language about the interesting biota is known to the public. The result is local language is already forgotten by the local community because there is a lot foreign language in Bunaken that domination the interaction and the conversation of the local community.
