Abstract

This research aims to analyze the development of tourism in Manado city through the slogan 'Manado Smart City. The method used for this research is a qualitative method using the descriptive approach. Data analysis using an analysis model (flow model). The research shows government effort to realize the vision of 'Manado Smart City' in the year 2021, with organizing various programs related to the development and maintaining of the city, including the development of tourism continuously. Development of tourism in the form of programs that exciting and innovative lead to building Manado as a 'Scholar' city with talented and robust human resources through the uplift education quality and building Manado as an 'Ecotourism' destination based on conservation of sea and island environment. External research in the form of scientific publication in an International Journal. Keywords: Development, Tourism, Manado Smart City.
