Abstract

The purpose of this research is to understand the benefits of coconut-based farmer diversification in increasing the income of coconut farmers in northern minahasa district. This effort was done because farmers are often faced with decreased productivity condition caused by old coconut tree, coca pest attack (sexava). The decline in coconut productivity has an impact on the level of prosperity of coconut farmers who work on coconut monoculture. The method used in the research was survey method. Researchers took samples from one population using a questionnaire as a basic data collection tool. Interview briefing, as well as the accuracy of collecting the required data, were guided by a structured questionnaire. The results showed that coconut farming technology based on coconut plant B / C ratio 1.42 and R / C ratio 2.42, farmers technology B / C ratio 0.43 and R / C ratio 1.43. T.I.P, PTT technology based on coconut plant 2.156,73 kg / ha, and farmer technology 1,521,67 kg / ha. TIH, PTT technology 1,240.45 kg, and farmer technology 2,103,69 / kg. The profit gained on PTT technology based on coconut plant 9.177.800 rupiah, and farmers technology 1,945,000, there is a difference of 7,232,800 rupiah, or an increase of 78.81%
