Abstract
Each existing aggregate material has different characteristics from one area to another, even from one location to another, even though it is in the same area. The asphalt mixture formed consists of coarse aggregate, fine aggregate,filler and asphalt in appropriate portions. For the use of aggregate material as an asphalt mixture, it usually comes from quarry. In general, the quarry used formixing asphalt materials is a quarry that has been frequently used or haspreviously been researched, however, it is possible that the Mokintob quarry from West Dumoga sub-district, which has never been used or conducted research,cannot be used as a mixed material. the asphalt itself especially on the Laston Asphalt Concrete – Wearing Course asphalt mixture. The method used in this study is an experimental method in which this research was conducted at the Manado State Polytechnic Materials Testing Laboratory. The results of this study were obtained, the material characteristics of the Mokintob Quarry aggregate were Stability for variations of asphalt content that met specifications, namely 5% - 7%, VIM obtained from variations in asphalt content that met specifications, namely 5,9% - 6,7%, VMA for variations in asphalt content that meet specifications is 5% - 6,5%, VFB for variations inasphalt content that meet specifications is 5,4% - 7,0%, Density for variations in asphalt content that meet specifications is 5% - 7%, Flow obtained from variationsin asphalt content that meet specifications, namely 5% - 6,8%, Marshall Quotient obtained from variations in asphalt content that meet specifications, namely 5% -6,8%. For the research results obtained from all the tests carried out, the Optimum Asphalt Content (KAO) obtained was 6,40%. After conducting tests on the Laston AC-WC mixture at the Manado State Polytechnic Materials Testing Laboratory, the conclusions of the study entitled " Mixed Planning for Laston AC-WC Using the Mokintob Quarry, Bolaang Mongondow" fulfill the characteristics of AC-WC asphalt and obtain optimum asphalt content (KAO ) of 6,40%
