Abstract

Research This research aims to [1] Plan the design of 25 MPa quality concrete mix with three variations of cement water factor (FAS) which are 0.42; 0.46; 0.50, [2] Getting the Get the compressive strength value of concrete with 10% substitution of waste paper as fine aggregate, [3] Assess how thefine aggregate, [3] Assessing how changes in the FAS ratio affect the specific gravity of normal and specific gravity of normal concrete and concrete containing waste paper. Research This research is an experiment carried out in the Materials Test Laboratory of the Department of Civil Engineering Department of Manado State Polytechnic, using test specimens with a height of 200 mm and a diameter of 100 mm. 200 mm high and 100 mm in diameter. Results The results showed that the FAS variation affected the composition of the concrete mix, especially in the amount of water used. The compressive strength values of normal concrete and concrete with waste paper substitution decreased significantly. At normal concrete 28 days, FAS 0.42 has a compressive strength of 26.42 MPa to 13.99 MPa; FAS 0.46 from 24.87 MPa to 9.24 MPa; and FAS 0.50 from 25.47 MPa to 7.93 MPa. In addition, normal concrete had a higher specific gravity than concrete with waste paper at all FAS variations. The use of waste paper as a fine aggregate substitution decreased the specific gravity of concrete significantly Retrieved from
